Top Nigerian rapper Jude Lemfani Abaga popularly called M.I Abaga has backed out of Chocolate City to start his own record label, Incredible Music.
The musician took to his Instagram page to make the announcement to his over 1.3 Million followers. In the post, he explained how he gave his blood, sweat and tears to Chocolate City hoping it will become one of the best music record labels to reckon with. However, as he notes, his best was obviously not good enough.
He also said talked about the “Judah EP” that will be chronicle his journey while he was at Chocolate City.

“Judah EP” will be M.I’s first project from the stables of his new record label Incredible Music. He joined Chocolate City in 2007 and assumed the role of CEO in 2015.
However, he vacated the position in 2019, as Audu Maikori became CEO when Chocolate City announced its deal with Warner Music.
As CEO of Chocolate City, he released five albums, three mixtapes and one playlist. He also won Best Hip Hop and Best New Act at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards under the record label.
M.I was nominated in the Best International Act category at the BET Awards 2010. He is regarded as one of Nigerian’s fiercest rappers.
Surely, his fans cannot wait to see hear the “Judah EP” and the beautiful tunes he will create with Incredible Music. Now that he has taken a bow from Chocolate city after 13 years, we may get to see a freer M.I.
