Lady Gaga didn’t fall short of the dramatic title at the 2019 Met Gala. She’s well known for her outlandish looks, but this is one (scratch that! four) look, we didn’t expect. While everyone thought they knew what to expect from her, she made a grand entrance wearing four different outfits. From one layer to the other, she pulled off four different looks. Indeed, she deserves a Grammy for this performance.
Lady Gaga pulled off an over-the-top moment by walking from 84th and Madison to the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art with five umbrella-holding dancers, makeup artist Sarah Tanno, and her personal photographer on hand to capture every move in a brilliant live performance. She was the queen of her own making, and she owned it.
The theme of this year’s Met Gala is “Camp”, and the singer sparked up the carpet! After making a glamorous entrance with her friend and designer, Brandon Maxwell, she started off with an over-the-top pink gown. She paired this look with two giant bows. Also spotted were her 10-inch heels that the “A Star Is Born” actress revealed in the third look.
Her theatrical journey kicked off the night and made the world know why she was one of the co-chairs. She delighted onlookers who watched as she playfully removed layer upon layer of clothes.
We have our own caption for each look. Tell us what you think of Lady Gaga’s ‘switcharoo’.
“Camp, you say? Well, here’s me, my tent and I.”
“Me at a funeral for all my haters.”
“When I say that I’ll be there in a minute, this is what I’m really doing in the bathroom.”
“Host: The theme is underwear.
How I show up…”
