Joker Virus Is Back On Android, Here’s How To Protect Your Bank Account

The Joker Virus is back on Android Play Store, known for hacking bank accounts hiding in some applications. This virus can access users bank accounts and withdraw money in tiny bits, without them knowing.

The 'Joker' Virus Has Returned to Android: It Can Empty Your Bank Accounts Without You Noticing It and It Is Hidden in These Apps in the Google Play Store

Famously known as the “Joker” malware in 2017; hackers were able to access the mobile apps on android. Then subscribe users to premium services they never agreed to. According to the entrepreneur, Google Play Store has removed around 1,700 apps with the Joker malware; before they were downloaded by users.

The entrepreneur also mentioned that the Joker virus belongs to a family of malware known as Bread. They hack cell phone bills and allow debits without users content.

The recent emergence of the Joker virus has been found by the Belgian Police force. In a statement, they said, “This malicious program has been detected in eight Play Store applications that Google has suppressed,”

They reckon that the malware has been found in 8 applications from the Play store; although removed by Google. But if you have these apps already installed, you should just and remove them as soon as possible.

Beware; the Joker virus is popping back up in some Android apps

The other applications in the Google play store according to cybersecurity firm Zscaler with the Joker virus are:

  • Talent Photo Editor – Blur focus
  • Paper Doc Scanner
  • All Good PDF Scanner
  • Care Message
  • Part Message
  • Blue Scanner
  • Direct Messenger
  • One Sentence Translator – Multifunctional Translator
  • Mint Leaf Message-Your Private Message
  • Unique Keyboard – Fancy Fonts & Free Emoticons
  • Tangram App Lock
  • Desire Translate
  • Meticulous Scanner

It’s best to check if you have any of these applications installed on your mobile phone and quickly uninstall.
