It was a sad day for all the Joe fans yesterday. The charismatic, funny, and sarcastic housemate, Joe, and Enkay were evicted from the Big Brother house. Because of his heavy involvement with the activities in the house, no one expected his eviction.
Joe had led his team to victory in the weekly challenges. The curved-moustached housemate would have been safe but for Diane’s decision to swap him with her chance card power. Venita, on hearing Joe’s name, burst out in tears.
Big Brother also evicted Ede Nkechiyere, aka Enkay, from the ongoing fourth season of the Big Brother Naija show. While Enkay was part of the losing team, ‘The Icons’, Joe was part of the winning team, ‘Cruisetopia’. Unfortunately, Diane put him up for eviction with her chance card.
Big Brother had, on 6th August 6, divided housemates into two different teams named ‘The Icons’ and ‘Cruisetopia’ to compete in challenges and tasks.
The Icons include Cindy, Elozonam, Enkay, Frodd, Ike, Khafi, Omashola, Sir Dee and Tacha. Cruisetopia includes Diane, Esther, Gedoni, Jackye, Joe, Mercy, Mike, Seyi and Venita.
Cindy, Elozonam, Enkay, Frodd, Ike, Joe, Khafi, Omashola and Tacha were up for possible eviction for failing the nomination task.
The eviction was Joe and Enkay’s first time on stage. They, alongside Venita, Cindy and Elozonam, snuck into the house as new housemates in the middle of the season.
Speaking on stage, the 26-year-old addressed his altercation with Tacha which earned him a strike. When asked who would win, he tipped Tacha, Mike or Omashola to win the show.
Some fans expressed their displeasure at the eviction. Additionally, they said that it was too early for Joe to leave especially as he was not originally up for eviction.
However, others expressed their joy at seeing Enkay leave the house as they disliked her ‘rude’ attitude, especially towards Cindy.
Joe seemed hopeful about his future in art and entertainment, while Enkay talked about how she hoped to promote her fashion line. We would love to see what Joe and Enkay are able to milk out from their short-lived fame.
