Users have reported that the iPhone 14 Pro camera produces a shaking and blurry result when used in third-party apps. However, it works fine in the default camera app.

According to AppleInsider, the complaints mention that the issue occurs when they use it for including Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok footage. The results are so bad that users cannot post them.

This could cause problems for content creators who use their smartphone to shoot and have already upgraded to the latest iPhone because of its improved camera.

For now, it is not yet clear what the problem is but it is likely a software issue that an iOS update can correct. There are some reports that speculate that the issue could be caused by the device’s optical image stabilization (OIS) system. Also, there are claims that it could be a physical issue.

Recall that the iPhone 14 Pro 48MP main camera comes with a Sensor Shift OIS, which physically moves the sensor. It is likely where the shaking camera problem is coming from. Although, that does not explain why it only happens when used on a third-party app and not on the device default camera.

The new iPhone 14 Pro comes with a 48-megapixel sensor and an Action Mode as part of the improvements that users will enjoy.

Apple has not addressed the issue yet and there is no news on when an iOS 16 update is coming. Although, the company just rolled it out and would likely still be compiling feedback to know what to fix.
