Infinix has announced its latest budget smartphone, the Smart 6, and it appears to be targeting customers with pricing target of $100 or lesser.

The beauty of the smartphone industry is its ability to give everyone something. As Infinix announced two mid-range devices along with the Smart 6 and you can read more about them here and here. Is there any reason why you should buy this device?

Infinix Smart 6 specs and features

The Infinix Smart 6 features a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD screen and under its hood, the device is powered by a chipset that clocks 1.6 GHz. While the company has not revealed which chipset it is in particular, my guess is that it will be the UNISOC SC9863 (formerly called Spreadtrum). It may not match the performance of other top tier smartphones but it is not poor for a budget device.

Infinix Smart 6 has two rear cameras; an 8MP main shooter coupled with an AI lens. On the front, it features a 5MP punch-hole selfie camera. The storage space on the device is 32GB and it uses a 2GB RAM. The good thing is that these phones usually support microSD card extension.

The Infinix XOS 7.6 operating system the phone uses was built on Android 11. Which is just about one OS removed from being recent. Then, it packs the now popular 5,000mAh and supports 10W charging.

Infinix has not said anything about the device launch date nor has it mentioned it pricing. We can only guess that it will cost less than $100 to get the Infinix Smart 6.
