John Legend has collaborated with Google to make your Google Assistant experience more enjoyable. You can now hear the music legend sing and speak to you through your Google home device.
If you say “Hello Google, talk like a legend” to any of your Google Assistant compatible devices, you will be able to hear John Legend himself talk to you.
You can also change the voice in the Google Assistant app on your phone with the following steps:
- Go to the Google Assistant app.
- Select Account. (Your account would be the photo of you on the corner of the screen.)
- Click “Assistant”.
- Then Click “Assistant Voice”.
- Then select “John Legend” from the available voices.
The John Legend Google assistant can do a few things. He could tell you a joke, sing you a song and tell you the weather. He can also sing you a “Happy Birthday” song on your birthday. He also answers fun questions like “Who is Chrissy Teigen?” and “What is your favourite type of music?” That’s not all, he can make you feel special too. If you, for some reason, ask if you are an ordinary person, he has a prompted answer where he will say, “You’re an extraordinary person.”
The John Legend voice assistant, however, cannot do a lot of major things. He can’t answer all your inquiries like nearby shops or maps direction.
Legend’s voice is a cameo voice available for a limited time only. It also works exclusively for some selected commands only.
