Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele Bello are presently trending on the internet over their big win at the just concluded AMVCA.
Toyin won the coveted award for the Best Actress in a Drama (Movie/Tv series), for her role in the film “Elevator Baby”. Meanwhile, Funke Akindele Bello won the best actress in a comedy (Movie/ Tv Series) for her role in ” Moms at war”.
However, a lot of people do not know that these actresses have a lot of things in common as actresses. First, they are both divorcees. Funke married businessman Adeola Kehinde Oloyede in 2012. But the marriage only survived for a year. They got divorced in 2013 on the ground of irreconcilable differences.
Also, both actresses are now married to new husbands who are in the entertainment industry. Funke’s husband is JJC Skillz who is a musician.

In July 2013, Toyin married actor Adeniyi Johnson but the marriage also crashed within a year. With Adeniyi Johnson moving on to be with Yoruba star actress Oluwaseyi Edun.

Now, Toyin is married to Kolawole Ajeyemi who is also an actor in the Yoruba movie industry

Another thing they both have in common is that they are both first-time mums. While Funke had her twins in 2018, Toyin gave birth to a baby boy in August 2019, named Ireoluwa.
Lastly, both actresses had early beginnings. While Funke’s popularity started from “I need to know” which aired between 1998-2002 Toyin’s breakthrough came with the Yoruba film “Alakada”.
Well, these actresses have paid their dues in the entertainment industry and surely deserve their win at the AMVCA.
