Dr Dre’s Oldest Daughter LaTanya Young Is Homeless, Living In Her Car Despite Millionaire Father

Young, 38, who’s a single mother of four kids told DailyMail that she’s not received any help from her estranged father in 18 months despite begging him for assistance.

“I’m homeless and I’ve been reaching out to my dad for help,” she said.

Young who works for food delivery services and in a warehouse is the daughter of Lisa Johnson, Dre’s ex. Johnson and Dr Dre— real name Andre Romelle Young— split when she was five years old. She said she has not seen her famous father in 18 years and only reaches him through his team.

She also said his refusal to help her is linked to some things she said about him to the media.

“His lawyer has said that my dad doesn’t want to help me because I’ve spoken about him in the press.”

“I feel like I’m damned if I do, I’m damned if I don’t. I’m just trying to communicate with him and see if he wants to talk to his grandkids.”

LaTanya Young said Dr Dre has never met her kids who are now staying with friends while she struggles to stay afloat.

“My kids are old enough to know who he is. They are in shock that he doesn’t want anything to do with them.”

She added that it’s humiliating when people ask why she’s working odd jobs despite her famously rich dad.

“People label me as a millionaire’s daughter so they don’t understand why I’m working. It makes me want to crawl under a rock,” she said.

She further said that the car she lives in is on rental and she may not be able to keep paying for it.

“The car is a pretty penny,” she explained. “It’s an SUV that costs $2,300 for three weeks and I only paid for one week.

“Sooner or later they are going to take the car.”
