Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ Cuppy has dropped her libel and defamation suit against Isreal Afeare better known as Isreal DMW, Logistics manager of music superstar Davido.
The 28-year-old announced this in a tweet on Friday 19th March. She also advised other social media users to be sure of their facts before lending their voice on any topic.
She wrote: “Following the public apology of Isreal Afeare, I have decided to no longer proceed with the lawsuit and have instructed my lawyers accordingly. As social media users, I hope we can all learn from this, and ensure that we have valid facts before we speak on matters.”

In February, Isreal DMW apologised to DJ Cuppy after his statement regarding her strained relationship with Zlatan Ibile.
Prior to the apology, Isreal DMW, took to Instagram to reveal what may have transpired between Zlatan and Cuppy. First, he stated that Cuppy did not pay Zlatan for their “Gelato” collaboration. He also revealed that she didn’t cater to Zlatan’s welfare when they travelled to Abuja for her 2019 fundraising.
However, in a video, he shared on Instagram, Isreal apologised to DJ Cuppy stating that his previous statements are false.
Meanwhile, this apology comes after Cuppy’s lawyers Babajide Koku & Co. Hedged that there was no contractual breach in her deal with Zlatan demanding a public apology from Isreal. In the document, Cuppy demanded that Isreal DMW ceases to defame her on the issue.
She also requested that he writes a public letter of apology withdrawing his claims within seven days from 10th February.
