Caitlyn Jenner has annouced she will be running for the Governorship seat in the state of California.
The transgender reality star made the announcement in a tweet on Friday, April 22nd via Twitter.

She will be running under the republican party in the possible recall election of current California Governor Gavin Newsom.

“California has been my home for nearly 50 years. I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality,” Jenner said in the news release. “But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people. Sacramento needs an honest leader with a clear vision.”
However, Newsom through his spokesman dismissed her intentions saying the recall is a “ludicrous circus full of Trump supporters”
Caitlyn formerly known as Bruce Jenner is a former Olympian and Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star. As a man, he married Kris Jenner and they had two kids; Kylie and Kendall Jenner. They also co-parented Kris’s children from her marriage to Kardashian, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian.
She announced she was a trans woman in 2015 and proceeded to change her name to Caitlyn.
