Disney’s “Shake It Up” star, Bella Thorne has revealed in an interview on “Good Morning America” that she is pans*xual. In 2016, the actress had identified as a bis*xual and came out on Twitter. She was recently on the “Good Morning Show” discussing her new poetry collection, “Life of a Wannabe Mogul: Mental Disarray.”

Bella Thorne, now 21, speaks openly about her struggles with self-acceptance, being bullied for having dyslexia and s*xual abuse in the new book. During the interview, she opened up about identifying with being “pans*xual.”

“I’m actually a pans*xual, and I didn’t know that,” Thorne said. She defined the term as: “You like what you like.”

“Doesn’t have to be a girl, or a guy, or … you know, a he, a she, a this, or that. It’s literally, you like personality, like you just like a being,” Bella said. “It doesn’t really matter what’s going on over there. If I just like it, I like it!”

It seems she’s getting rid of all the labels. However, the term pans*xual is not a new one, especially among the new generation. Many are identifying with different types of s*xuality, and pans*xuality is one of them.

The actress and singer also shared how she was able to overcome s*xual abuse and discover what makes her “most happy” in life.

She said the abuse started when she was just six years old and was unrelenting until adolescence. When she was 13 years old, she became the Disney show’s “Shake It Up” Cece Jones. Her dancing got her there even while suffering from dyslexia.

In the interview, she pointed out: “How all this s*** that I really couldn’t do, and I did it somehow,” she said. “I couldn’t read and I learned how to read from reading scripts.”

Pans*xuality explained

The term pans*xual is a s*xual identity that is explicitly inclusive of all genders. It doesn’t identify with one’s gender orientation, s*xuality or identity. Someone who is pans*xual can be attracted to a transgender person, same-s*x or the opposite s*x.

Jazz Jennings, a transgender teenage woman explained to Cosmo, that pans*xual means you are “attracted to anyone, no matter their s*x, s*xual orientation, gender, gender identity, everything.”

“There’s no limits,” she said. “I’ll date anyone. It’s more that I love someone for their soul. Physically, I think I’m more attracted to boys but sometimes I’m attracted to girls too, so it’s weird.”

Bella Thorne also revealed that she occasionally feels pressured to present a certain persona. So far, the “Midnight Sun” actress has amassed 20 million followers on Instagram. She has raw images on her feed, including some of her recent boyfriend, musician Benjamin Mascolo.

“I like s*xy. So for me, it’s okay,” she said. “I love skin, like I love seeing skin ….,” she said. “I like s*xy girls, I like s*xy guys.. I like s*xy in general, you know?” she added.

She hopes to focus more on writing and directing in the future.
