Apple in a press release released its third-quarter results, with the iPhone 12 series sales figure making a large chunk of profits.
The Cupertino-based company financial results for its fiscal year 2021 third quarter ended June 26, 2021. The third quarter had record revenue of $81.4 billion, increasing 36% year over year. Profit stood at $21.7 billion that’s twice what the company made at the same time last year.
Out of its $81.4 billion revenue, Apple’s Products made $63.9 billion, and services completed with $17.4 billion.
The iPhone 12 series released last year had the highest sale of all products sold during the third quarter. Featuring a new, squared design, newer A14 processor, cameras, and 5G connectivity.
At a whopping 39.5 billion, iPhone 12 net sales made almost half of Apple’s total revenue for the third quarter. Even in the 5G market the iPhone 12 series currently leads the line.
Despite the global pandemic, CEO Tim Cook said: “This quarter, our teams built on a period of unmatched innovation by sharing powerful new products with our users, at a time when using technology to connect people everywhere has never been more important.”

Geographically, Apple made the most sales in the America continent at $35.8 billion. Followed by Europe at $18.9 billion, and thirdly Greater China at $14.7 billion.
Luca Maestri, Apple CFO reacted: “This quarter, our teams built on a period of unmatched innovation by sharing powerful new products with our users, at a time when using technology to connect people everywhere has never been more important.”
Shareholders will head to the bank happy. Apple paid nearly $29 billion to them during the quarter says Maestri. Apple would pay out a cash dividend of $0.22 per share to shareholders by August 12, 2021. Only to shareholders on record as of the close of business on August 9, 2021.
