Anita Tonye Okoye, estranged wife of music star Paul Okoye is demanding he pay $15,000 (N7.8M) monthly as spousal support.
According to the court document, the money is for supporting their three kids who now live with her in America.
“Payment of a monthly maintenance sum of $15,000.00 (US Dollars) for the general welfare, education and health of the three children of the union who are presently in schools in the United States of America until they are of age,” part of the document read.
News of their impending divorce broke the internet on August 20, 2021, and was greeted with shock.
Anita Okoye and Paul Okoye were high school sweethearts who dated for long years before they finally tied the knot in 2014.

The wedding, an ostentatious ceremony held in Porthacour came one year after they welcomed their first child, Andre. They welcomed their twins, Nadia and Nathan in 2017.
Anita had hinted at looming trouble in paradise after she moved with the children to the US in April this year.
But the rumours came even before then.
In 2019, an Instagram blogger had alleged that Anita was patronising herbal s*x enhancement vendors in a bid to save her marriage.
According to a source, the couple plan to have a peaceful divorce as they focus on co-parenting their kids. “Paul and Anita have always been very good friends and like every couple they have had issues for a while but plan to remain on good terms and keep the friendship they have always had since their days as university students,” the source said.
