Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has advised men on the need to support their career-driven wives and not make them housewives after getting married.
The actor who doubles as a full-time politician took to his Twitter page to admonish his followers. Edochie cautions that if one wants a housewife then they should marry a woman who has stated she doesn’t want to do anything.
See his tweet below:
Don’t marry a career lady and force her to stay at home.
You fail am bros.
Women deserve to be successful and achieve their dreams too.
If you don’t want your wife to work or do business simply marry the one that doesn’t want to do anything.
You’ll have a great life together.— Yul Edochie (@YulEdochie) March 4, 2020
Meanwhile, this tweet has elicited diverse comments from Twitter users. While some believe that career women should be supported, some believe that a man who supports his wife would regret it later.

My brother,if you give your wife free chance to do what she wants in the name of “career lady or hard work” , you will surely regret it…. women are dangerous.

Women who want to pursue a career, don’t marry a man who wants a house wife and try to change him after marriage. Marry a man who will support your goals and aspirations.

Problem is people lie too much just to secure marriage especially women. She will find out what kind of woman u want during pillow talk and conform to exactly that, once she has secured husband, she will revert back to her original self. Chameleons have nothing on women!
