The 2019 Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles last night and it was epic. The Hollywood stars and celebrities came out in their numbers, donning beautiful dresses and tuxedos on the purple carpet. Here is a peek at a few of our favourites.

1. Viola Davis in this B/W dress

Viola went monochrome in this black and white dress and blew us away with a halo of Afro curls.

2. Zendaya in this lingerie-inspired forest-green number

The “Euphoria” star stunned like a Golden Age Hollywood starlet with flowing red hair, a classy all-green get-up, and glowing skin. We bet this picture smells like cocoa butter. 😍😍

3. Mandy Moore served lewks in this bright contrast dress

This bold colour-block dress is pure 🔥🔥🔥!

4. Marisa Tomei also showed up in a pink and red contrast dress

Marisa gave a Greek goddess vibe on the purple carpet with this asymmetrical drapey number.

5. Taraji P Henson kept to the theme with an equally bold and drapey dress

Miss Cookie gave us a lot of leg in this flowy belted dress.

6. Ava DuVernay was shimmering

This sparkly ball gown is giving us fairytale vibes.

7. The Khaleesi herself, Emilia Clarke, showed up in this functional navy blue dress

8. And nothing says extra like Bill Porter in this hat

Bill Porter posed in that mad extra realness on the purple carpet with an abstract-shaped hat and probably the longest makeshift tie we’ve ever seen.

9. Kendal Jenner showed off in a black and floral mermaid dress

With this outfit, Kendall Jenner gave us a lot to look at. From the black latex neckline to the mermaid skirt, this dress is a purple carpet favourite.

10. Gwendolyn Christie gave us that female Caesar realness

Last but not least on our list is Gwendolyn Christie. The statuesque blonde threw it all the way back to Ancient Rome in this draped dress with embroided edges.
