Actress Zendaya shocked Hollywood last night when the bagged the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a drama series for her performance in HBO’s “Euphoria.”
Not only is this her first Emmy, but she’s also the youngest to win the award. It was apparently a night of breaking records because Zendaya is also the second black actress to win after Viola Davis. Davis won it in 2015 for her performance in “How To Get Away With Murder.”
Despite the show being virtual, Zendaya did not fail to dress for the occasion, keeping up with her usual spectacular red carpet style. The actress showed up to receive her award in a gorgeous dress from Giorgio Armani Privé flanked by family and friends.

Very joyous and very grateful for the honour, Zendaya could not hide her excitement as she thanked the executive producer of the show and the crew for trusting her with the lead character Rue.
“I know that our TV show doesn’t always feel like a great example of that, but there is hope in the young people.” She said when she was finally able to give a speech. “And I just want to say to all my peers out there doing the work in the streets, I see you, I admire you, I thank you, and yeah, thank you so, so much! This is—whoa, okay, thank you!”
