YouTube pages of embattled RnB legend R Kelly has been taken down after he was convicted of s*x crimes.
YouTube told Reuters that The RKellyTV and RKellyVevo channels no longer exist. Also, Kelly will not be allowed to create or own any other channel on the platform. YouTube made the move in line with its creator responsibility guidelines.
However, this isn’t a blanket ban. Kelly’s music will still be available on YouTube Music. Kelly videos that other users have uploaded will still be available.
His catalogue is still available on major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.

The removal follows years of protest from the #MuteRKelly movement, an effort aimed to ban his music over long-standing abuse allegations.
In September, a New York jury after nine hours of deliberation found the disgraced singer guilty of all nine charges count charges of s*x crimes including the more heinous one of racketeering.
R Kelly was arrested in Chicago two years ago on several s*xual assault cases in two states and have been incarcerated since then as his trial progressed.
Witnesses and victims including women, boys and girls took the stand to level accusations of r*pe, drugings, imprisonment and also child p*rnography against the singer.
Kelly’s sentencing hearing will take place in May 2022. The mandatory minimum sentence is 10 years in prison, though he faces up to life behind bars.
