While speaking on Friday Twitter Spaces hosted by Trace, the entertainment company, the singer said he got to a stage where singing seemed like the right thing to do. He said he had this subsisting desire to become a musician.

Young Jonn said he had made a couple of songs but didn’t release them until recently.

“I feel like everything is in stages and it’s like a journey. Most times it is not crystal clear. I have always felt the need to create music but I was just never at that point of putting it out,” the singer said.

The singer, however, noted that he’s now over the social anxiety and is able to connect with new people.

“I never used to go out even, I’m not really a social person. I won the African producer of the year, I was never there,” Young Jonn said.

“I won Headies producer of the year as well. I was never there either.

“I was not really a social person. Everyone that knew me would say I’m shy but it wasn’t that I was shy, I couldn’t just meet people. But right now it’s getting better. So right now I’m outside.”

Young Jonn is a Nigerian record producer and audio engineer. He is best known for producing the critically acclaimed single titled “Story For The Gods” off Olamide’s Street “OT album”.
