Xiaomi has flaunted a new 5G smartphone that is coming in September 2020 and it will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7-series.

The uniqueness of the device is that before now, all Android 5G smartphones using Qualcomm’s chipsets run on Snapdragon 8-series. Xiaomi will be the first to do so on a Snapdragon 7-series but it had not revealed which particular one.

Likely, the mystery Xiaomi smartphone coming in September 2020 will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G or 765G chipsets. The company at least mentions that the device will be part of its Mi 10 series. This series of smartphones are the latest offerings from Xiaomi and they feature high-end specs.

For example, Mi 10 offers 108MP quad-camera capabilities. It also has impressive storage capacities that give users 8GB RAM and 256GB memory space. However, the pricing scheme has meant that the device ranks as ‘expensive’.

In addition, Xiaomi mentions that the coming device will be priced around €200, making it an affordable 5G smartphone. This will put it in contention for the ‘most affordable 5G smartphones of 2020. We will have to wait until leaks start to appear before we can say more about this device.

Also, Xiaomi has advertised that it will add this device to its Mi 10 series in September 2020, soon, the specifications will become available.
