Amazon has been informing its customers who made preorders for the Xbox Series X that they might experience some delays in getting their console when it’s out, according to reports on Twitter. The eCommerce giant had also warned its customers who preordered the PS5 that would experience delays in taking delivery of the console.

The notice reads; “We’re contacting you about your order of Xbox Series X to let you know in advance that you may not receive this item on the day it is released due to high demand”.

It’s been a messy pre-order season for the next generation of consoles, with Nvidia’s RTX 3080 graphics card also not left out. The issue appears to be that that preorders slots are exhausted. It also seems that the demands exceeded Xbox’s own projection. The console maker through its twitter account, however, says that we are to expect more consoles to be available on 10th November 2020.
