Microsoft held a special Xbox anniversary event yesterday November 15th 2021 to make its 20th anniversary since its first Halo game debut. The live stream event started around 10 AM pacific time/1 PM eastern time. Microsoft Livestream was available on its YouTube, Twitch and Facebook channels.
The Redmond based company didn’t release any new games for the event. But some Xbox gamers have noticed some updates to the existing original Xbox and Xbox 360 title games.
Microsoft said at the beginning of the event that “While we won’t announce any new games, this broadcast will be a special look back at all the memories we’ve shared with the Xbox community over the past two decades.” Here’s a recap of the event in case you missed it.
Xbox and Adidas recently released a limited-edition sneaker to celebrate its 20 years anniversary. The company announced the partnership with an exclusive new Adidas Originals by Xbox sneaker.

The company says “this first of its kind sneaker will have green details inspired by the special edition release of its original console for the launch of Halo: Combat Evolved in 2001.”
Interestingly, the gaming company says this will be the first of many collaborations to come. It will be releasing other sneakers for purchase. Definitely drawing inspiration from its past and present Xbox console generations. The gaming company first released its consoles in the early 2000s during the core street skateboarding days.
It has been 20 years of growth. The company has released a host of games, the original Xbox, Xbox 360, One, One S, One X, digital-only, and currently the series S and X consoles. Microsoft also released 70 new backward compatible games to celebrate the feat.
