Xbox announces new gaming features for Microsoft Edge

Xbox is bringing new features to Microsoft Edge as part of its plan to reach more people with its Cloud Gaming services. The company also recently brought updates to the iPhone and iPad version of its games as well.

Some of the new features that Xbox introduced to the Microsoft Edge browser are a personalised gaming homepage, in-built efficiency mode, clarity boost, and built-in menu for games.

The personalised homepage makes it easier for users to locate the Xbox Cloud Gaming library while the efficiency mode reduces other resource usage by the browser to focus on the game. The clarity boost feature is aimed at improving video quality and the menus would work for Microsoft-Edge-based games like Microsoft Solitaire and Atari Asteroids.

Will Tuttle, Xbox Wire editor in chief had said: “We’re excited to share that later this year, it’s our intent to roll out the ability for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to play, from the cloud, select games they already own or have purchased outside the Xbox Game Pass library.”

Additionally, the company is making it possible for people to stream games with its Xbox app made for TVs. Without owning a console, TV owners can get the Xbox gaming experience., so long as they use the supported type of TV.
