You have until Sunday, October 9, 2022, to enter the Nigeria Fintech Summit hackathon where you stand the chance of winning $5,000.

The summit is organised by TechPoint Africa and will hold on November 26, 2022, in Lagos State. For now, only Fehintolu Olaogun, co-founder and CEO of CredPal, has been listed as a speaker. Other speakers would be unveiled as the date approaches.

Now, for the hackathon, it focuses on products that provide solutions for financial problems in Nigeria that have not gotten much attention.

“The winning solution must be innovative, simple to implement, and scalable. There are no limitations to what you can create as long as they solve problems in Nigeria’s financial system,” a TechPoint Africa blog post said.

In addition, solutions that work across borders stand a better chance of winning and the more unusual they are, the better. And, entrants are free to work as individuals or groups of no more than five people.

Entries are welcome from everywhere as it is not stated if the participants must be Nigerians or based in Nigeria. However, one of the requirements for successful participants in the final round is that one team member must be able to travel to Lagos.

Entries opened on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, and you can start by filling this form which details like previous projects. The solution must be built using Oneliquidity’s tech stack.

Besides the chance of winning $5,000 at the hackathon, there is the possibility that you could meet investors to back your idea as well.
