Hollywood star actor Will Smith says he appreciated the cast and crew of of “King Richard” with extra bucks for their impressive work.

Smith made the revelation in an interview at the film’s premiere. The actor who doubles producer and lead star said the team deserved the bonuses for putting in so much work especially amid the pandemic.

“All I can do is my part.So it’s always an honour and a pleasure for me to do my part, and everybody put in brilliant work. It was the COVID shutdowns, people really stuck with us. It was a much more difficult process than anybody thought they were signing up for. I just felt that it was fair,” Smith said.

According to Warner Bros., King Richard presents Smith’s character as “an undeterred father with a “relentless drive and unapologetic vision to change the game who is “instrumental in raising two of the most extraordinarily gifted athletes of all time, who will end up changing the sport of tennis forever.”

In this biopic, Smith stars as the highly driven father Richard Williams to the tennis legends and sisters Venus and Serena Williams. The Williams Sisters are played by Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton

“King Richard” is currently showing in Nigerian cinemas and on HBO Max.
