WhatsApp Releases New Disappear By Default Feature For Chats

WhatsApp is broadening the disappear by default feature for its chats, users can now set automatic deletion for new one-on-one chats. This service was announced in November last year, with an option to delete messages after seven days.

Presently, WhatsApp now allows users to delete messages after 24 hours or 90 days. The latest update by the messaging company now works with new chats. So when you turn on the disappear by default option, new contacts will be informed it is on.

You can also set the option for individual contacts, there is other information about this functionality on WhatsApp’s FAQ Page.

WhatsApp for the web now has a built-in sticker that allows you to create quick stickers for all your meme needs. The native tool will turn your pictures into stickers by clicking the paperclip button, selecting sticker and then uploading.

The company says the feature will also be coming for its Desktop apps next week. WhatsApp has also added the functionality to add emojis, text and additional stickers as layers to a new sticker.

This will eliminate the need to download a separate sticker creating an application from the Android or App store. This convenience is highly appreciated by the WhatsApp community.

WhatsApp has not released any date for the in-built sticker functionality for iOS or Android for now. We will let you know when it becomes available, as the timing might be close by.
