Singer Naira Marley has reacted to the arrest of his signees Zinoleesky and Mohbad by operatives of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) custody.

NDLEA had confirmed their arrest on February 24, 2021 sharing in a statement that the singers had been caught with illegal drugs in their possession.

In tweets shared via his Twitter page, Naira Marley said he and his team are being targeted and also demanded the release of the singers.

“What is happening to my brothers is disgusting. The injustice is unfair and this is beginning to look like a pattern. First me now my artists. Free Zinoleesky, free shubomi, free micee and dosky 💔,” he tweeted.

He also revealed that Mohbad has been released but Zinoleesky was still in custody.

“NDLEA have released Mohbad after physically assaulting him, Zinoleesky is still in custody. The boys are under a lot of stress after being ambushed in the middle of the night with no warrant. I’m urgently returning to Lagos now now now.”

In a now-viral video, the singers were seen being rough-handled by NDLEA operatives. As the video progressed Zinoleesky was cuffed and pushed away alongside side other young men in the house where the arrest was made.

Meanwhile, NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi confirmed the arrest. He also said Cannabis and Molly were recovered by the operatives from Zinoleesky and Mohbad.
