Watch Trailer For Netflix’s South African Original Thriller “I Am All Girls”

Netflix has released the trailer for its South African thriller “I Am All Girls”.

BET Africa Launches New Daily Drama Isono (The Sin)

The film directed by” Hunter, Killer” Donavan Marsh is based on real events that unfolded in South Africa in the 1980s.

 

Centering around a notorious human trafficking ring that involved, the story follows a special crimes investigator and the unlikely formation of a bond between cop and serial killer, as they race against the clock to bring down a global child s*x trafficking network.

 

The thriller stars Erica Wessels, Hlubi Mboya, Mothusi Magqano, Masasa Mbangeni, Brandon Daniels and Donovan Lotz.

South African production house Nthibah Pictures also with offices in Los Angeles is behind this one. Producers are Simon Swart, Wayne Fitzjohn, Jozua Malherbe and Lucia Mayer-Marais.

Confirming the film’s Netflix acquisition, director Donavan Marsh revealed, “’I am All Girls’ demonstrates Netflix’s commitment to telling meaningful African stories and reach audiences across the globe on important issues, while supporting ground breaking local entertainment.”

 

Simon Wart added “This distribution partnership with Netflix is kismet. As they share our goal of bringing unique diverse African voices to global audiences.

“I Am All Girls ” will premiere on May 14th, 2021.
