Coronavirus may not be tired of the world but the world is definitely tired of it. We’re certain it was in this spirit Walt Disney submitted the proposal for the reopening of Disney World; the largest recreational resort in the world.
Walt Disney World and Disney’s Disneyland resort in Anaheim, California, closed in mid-March. This was due to the coronavirus pandemic, crippling the billion-dollar business.
Disney shared plans to reopen Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11 and Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15.
This is coming after the resort’s reopening of its Disney Springs shopping district, on May 20 with the reopening of shopping and some dining options.
On May 27, Disney Springs also reopened the world’s largest Disney gift shop, World of Disney.

According to Disney World reopening plans, “guests will need to reserve park entry in advance, cast members and guests will get temperature checks, character meet-and-greets will be paused and play areas temporarily closed”.
In addition, guests and cast members must wear face masks, and “parades, fireworks, and other events that create crowds will be temporarily suspended.”
The resort will also enable cashless payments and increase numbers of hand sanitizing spots within its grounds.
The plan has already been approved by the Orange County task force. However, it awaits approval from the Governor.
All of Disney’s 12 parks in North America, Asia, and Europe had shut down because of the ongoing pandemic. However, Shanghai Disneyland, the company’s largest international park reopened its gates on May 11 after closure since January 24.
In 2018, Walt Disney World was the most visited vacation resort in the world. It totals an average annual attendance of more than 58 million visitors.
