Nigerian rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun aka Vector has reacted to claims that he made a tweet mocking the death of Dare Adeboye, the son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye.
Pastor Dare Adeboye, the third child of Pastor Enoch Adeboye died in his sleep on Wednesday 5th May 2020.
Meanwhile, Vector had posted a tweet on the day Dare died which Twitter users felt mocked the late pastor and his family.
“If you know you want to see Next year make some noise noooooise,” he tweeted.

In his defense, Vector was quick to reveal that the tweet was about musical performance, as he dropped a tweet from February 2020.
Oh don’t get this wrong… It’s not about church. It’s about a performance i remembered. https://t.co/QsTTure1gC

This explanation didn’t sit well with some Twitter users who stood their ground that Vector’s tweet was insensitive. Others were simply of the opinion that Nigerians are easily triggered and the tweet meant nothing.

The tweet came at a very wrong time, I saw it and overlooked but I knew some wouldn’t…
