James Bond is returning for its 25th instalment of the British spy franchise. Daniel Craig will once more play the world-famous secret agent. Cary Joji Fukunaga will direct the film.
The producers and cast of the film confirmed the comeback in an event held on 25th April 2019 in GoldenEye, Jamaica. This was the location James Bond creator Ian Fleming originally wrote the spy novels.
The live reveal
The official date for the release of the film is still unknown. However, the cast and producers of the new “Bond 25” revealed some details about the film. They also revealed the new villain in the film slated for April 2020.
The Oscar Winning actor of Mr Robot, Rami Malek, will play the unnamed role of a villain. Reports say he will play the role of a blind character.
In the new film, Bond’s holiday in Jamaica is short-lived after his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA asks for his help. They would need to rescue a kidnapped scientist. This will lead to an unexpected mysterious journey with new, dangerous technology.
Other confirmed new casts in the film are Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, Ana De Arma, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch and Malek. The confirmed returning actors are Ralph Fiennes as M, Lea Seydoux as Madeleine, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as A, Rory Kinnear as Tanner and Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter.
The film will be shot in various locations around the world. They include Italy, Jamaica, Norway and a traditional feature in London.
