Ultimate love contestants Iyke and Theresa, have called off their engagement.

The pair met during the first season of the reality TV show in 2020 and later got engaged in May 2021.

However, in an expected turn of events, Theresa took to Instagram on Wednesday 11th August 2021 to announce the end of their engagement in a now-deleted post.

She however did not reveal the circumstances surrounding their breakup. Theresa also used the post to appreciate their fans for their love and support throughout the years.

“I’m sorry to all Iykeresa lovers and believers but we’ve decided to go our separate ways which is best for us. We hope you respect our decision as we forge ahead with our lives and careers,” the reality TV star wrote.

Iyke and Theresa came second at the end of the 2020 Ultimate Love show.

Their breakup comes about nine months after winners of the show Kachi Ucheagwu, and Rosie Afuwape, parted ways.

In a tell-it-all interview, Kachi had accused Rosie of aborting her 12 weeks pregnancy without his consent.

Rosie was quick to refute the allegations in a Youtube video titled “My Truth”. In the video, Rosie shared screenshots of her conversation with Kachi as well as test results from the hospital which clearly stated that the 36-year old did not have an abortion.

Multichoice’s Ultimate Love Reality show premiered on 9th February 2020. The aim of the show was for contestants to mingle and find their life partners.
