Two Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round Matches To Be Streamed Live On Facebook

Football fans in the UK can watch two of the eight Emirates FA Cup fifth-round matches live on Facebook in March 2020. However, all other matches will be available live on the usual stations.

 

The FA Cup announced that two of its midweek ties would be broadcasted live on the Facebook service. On its website, the footballing body revealed that the two matches that will be made available on Facebook will be:

 

  • Tuesday 3 March (8 pm) – Reading v Sheffield United
  • Wednesday 4 March (7.45 pm) – Leicester City v Birmingham City

 

Considering that top clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United would be featuring in the same round, this offer may not be as exciting as it sounds. Also, there is the Chelsea – Liverpool clash on Tuesday 3rd March 2020.

To watch the live-streamed matches, football fans can use the Facebook Watch feature. Facebook Watch is a video-on-demand service that Facebook announced it on August 9, 2017.

 

As of now, the feature supports both Android and iOS devices. It also works on Desktop and PCs as well as Smart TVs. Facebook Watch is a place to discover and enjoy videos on Facebook.

The Emirates FA Cup is an annual knockout football competition in men’s domestic English football. Manchester City is the current title holders after winning it in 2019. However, Arsenal remains the most successful club in the competition with 13 titles.

 

Its 2020 edition remains two rounds before the final on 1st May 2020. African viewers can catch all the actions live on either SuperSport or Star Times.
