Tom Cruise Set To Shoot First Ever Movie In Space

After NASA hinted to a potential partnership with SpaceX and Hollywood actor Tom Cruise two years ago, it now seems that actual planning has begun.

The chairman of Universal Films Entertainment Group, Donna Langley, reportedly told the BBC

that the Mission Impossible star will absolutely be planning a spacewalk.

In describing the project, Langley said that, despite taking place on Earth,

Tom Cruise will provide viewers a look at space that is unprecedented for a Hollywood non-CGI production.

It actually takes place on earth, and then the character needs to go up to space to save the day,” the film executive shared. “Tom Cruise is taking us to space. He’s taking the world to space. That’s the plan.”

Remember that NASA announced a potential collaboration with the actor on a movie project in May 2020,

A probable connection between the two reports is suggested by Langley’s statement,

which also states that Cruise and filmmaker Doug Liman presented the story during the pandemic.

For his part, Cruise received praise for his theatrical release of Top Gun: Maverick in 2022, which reportedly brought in $1.454 billion at the box office.

We also recall how in Decenber of 2020, Tom Cruise went hard with crew members on the set of “Mission: Impossible 7” after he saw them breaking COVID-19 guidelines.

According to a first report by The Sun Cruise saw two crew members standing too close to one another in front of a computer screen, he told the crew: “If I see you do it again you’re f*cking gone.”

Meanwhile, in audio obtained by The Sun, Cruise can be heard saying: “We are the gold standard. They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us.

Because they believe in us and what we’re doing. I’m on the phone with every f*cking studio at night, insurance companies, producers and they’re looking at us and using us to make their movies.

We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherf*ckers. I don’t ever want to see it again. Ever!”
