TMC’s Ayoola Ayolola Gives Reason For Leaving The Show

Nollywood actor Ayoola Ayolola has reacted to the accusations that he ghosted the producers of the web series The Men’s Club (TMC) where he plays the lead.

Ayolola said he did not ghost the show

News that BBNaija’s Pere Egbin will be replacing Ayolola to play the beloved Aminu Garba character was met with outrage and fans kicked against the change.

TMC official annoucement

Dami Elebe, the show’s screenwriter in the heat of the backlash took to her Twitter to share some details that led to Ayolola leaving the show.

According to her, the actor relocated out of Nigeria and didn’t inform the producers.

The accusation however spurred Ayolola, who had been silent in the face of the outrage to speak on the issue. On his IG page, the actor said he told the producers of the show he was leaving the country temporarily.

Contrary to what was said, i did not relocate without letting the executive producer. And the producers of the show know. My decision to make a “temporary” move out of the country was a long thought out process. In which the producer/my manager at the time was aware of and involved in.

He also added that he was looking forward to returning to the screens.

Ayoola Ayolola plays the suave, arrogant yet romantic rich lead who sweeps his love interests off her feet. The character which is now a fan favourite will now be played by BBNaija season six 2nd runner up, Pere Egbin. Meanwhile, season 4 is currently in production.
