In a matter of hours after Samsung unveiled the Exynos 880 processor, Vivo has announced that its coming Y70s smartphones will use it. In this article, you will see why the processor is unique and some of the features of this soon-to-be-released Vivo Y70s.
Samsung had announced the Exynos 880 processor as a mid-range version of Exynos 980 which was for higher-end phones. With this version, the company hoped to bring improved functionalities to smartphones that would be more affordable.
It brings 5G connectivity, improved gaming abilities and AI functions. In addition, the manufacturers said it has an octa-core 64-bit CPU and a GPU that supports 2520×1080 pixels displays.
On the other hand, this Vivo’s smartphone that will introduce Exynos 880 to users runs on Android 10-based Funtouch 10.0 software. Its official name is Vivo Y70 and will have variations when it comes to RAM; some will be equipped with 6GB and others will have 8GB. The internal storage space will be 128 GB.

According to Sammobile, Vivo Y70s will come with a triple-camera setup on the back. Its leading sensor will be a 48 MP shooter while an 8MP ultrawide-angle snapper and a 2MP depth lens will support it. As the Exynos 880 it is using allows, Vivo Y70s will be able to connect to 5G. It will also have improved gaming prowess thanks to Samsung’s SoC (System on Chip).
Meanwhile, in the power department, Vivo Y70s will use 4,500 mAh batteries that support 18W fast charging. For now, there is no information on when the phone will enter the market. Likely, it will first go on sale in China before other regions would get it. The company has also not disclosed what pricing range that enthusiasts should have in mind.
