Elon Musk has said that his company should pay Tesla owners for changing appointments without prior notice of more than 24 hours.
He made the statement in response to one of the car owners after they complained about being charged for changing their appointment but could do so without compensation.
“So Tesla gets to charge me $100 to change my appointment 24 within 24 hours, but this appointment has been scheduled for 2 weeks and they’re just now telling me this? Service needs to be addressed,” the customer who uses the username @austinhinson_.
In response, Elon Musk insisted that the charge should be reciprocal. Additionally, he said that he was investing lots of personal time in making Tesla’s customer service better. This likely means that he would be monitoring customer complaints online and responding.

In related news, the tech billionaire also gave an update on another of his companies, Starlink. Following the iPhone 14 launch, a user suggested that Apple and SpaceX (owner of Starlink) team up to improve the iPhone 14 emergency SOS satellite connectivity.
As it turns out, Starlink was already ahead and had already met with Apple over the possibility of a collaboration.
“We’ve had some promising conversations with Apple about Starlink connectivity. iPhone team is obv super smart. For sure, closing link from space to phone will work best if phone software & hardware adapt to space-based signals vs Starlink purely emulating cell tower,” Musk said.
It is clear that the tech boss keeps his ear close to the ground to know just what the people are thinking.
