Reports from Electrek says that the Tesla iOS app allows owners to remotely stream live footage from their car cameras. This is based on the car’s Sentry mode, which uses its camera as a surveillance tool to record thieves and intruders.
The latest version of the tesla iOS app now allows its owners to remotely watch a live scene of their car cameras. Tesla’s “Sentry Mode Live Camera Access” feature is rolling out with the 2021.36.8 software update. Tesla says “You can now remotely view your car’s surroundings when parked to confirm the safety of your environment before returning to your car.” This new functionality isn’t available on Tesla’s android app for now.
The Model 3 has become the first electric vehicle to top Europe’s best-selling cars according to sales data from Jato Dynamics. The electric car beats the likes of Renault Clio, Dacia Sandero and Volkswagen Golf.
Tesla last week said the third quarter of 2021 has been a record period despite chip storage & supply chip storage. The electric car company recorded its best-ever net income, operating profit and gross profit.

Bloomberg says EVs accounts for 23% of total new sales, which shows there’s a strong push for electric vehicles. AM Online another research site mentions 2021 September sales makes about 74% of Tesla’s total third-quarter sales.
The third quarter had the most record vehicle production and deliveries. Tesla also rolled out its Full Self Driving city Beta to a wider population in the month of October.
Tesla’s CFO in its third-quarter earnings has this to say about its challenges. “A variety of challenges, including semiconductor shortages, congestion at ports and rolling blackouts, have been impacting our ability to keep factories running at full speed.”
CEO Elon Musk said in a tweet that the “Sentry Mode Live Camera Access” will also allow owners to remotely talk through the car’s speakers. Expect to see loads of hilarious videos on YouTube of owners speaking through their car speakers.
