The prices of Tesla have been increasing lately as a result of “supply chain price-pressure industry-wide”, Elon Musk tweeted in May.

Semiconductors have been in low supply, and this has also affected the rest of the Auto-mobile industry. Elon Musk also mentioned in June that “our biggest challenge is supply chain especially microcontroller chips. Never seen anything like it.” Tesla’s actual delivery of 201,250 vehicles in the second quarter of 2021 was slightly higher than Wall Street analyst’s predictions.

Reuter reported that Analysts had expected Tesla to deliver 200,258 vehicles in the second quarter of 2021 according to Refinitiv data.

Disappointing news that may have affected the electric car company share price, is the recent recall of more than 285,000 vehicles in the US over a safety risk with the vehicles cruise control.
