Telegram Users Get New Video Editor, Animated Photos, Better GIFs And More

Social networking platform, Telegram announced upgrading its media editor to enable users to use animated stickers and edit videos. This article tells you all you need to know about these new Telegram features.

 

The platform has been supporting photo editing on its app since 2015. Long time users have enjoyed enhanced image quality and features that let them add drawings, stickers, and texts to these images. However, the update announced on 4th June 2020, brings many new things.

 

Video editing quality: the new Telegram feature allows users to play with several video editing tools that are available in few taps. In addition, they can zoom in on photos or videos. This allows them to perfect their drawings as they prefer.

 

Animated sticker: now, Telegram users get to add animated stickers to photos and videos. Users are to note that adding animated stickers to a photo turns it into a GIF.

GIF trending section: users also get to find out what the most popular GIFs are and quickly access them from the new trending section. The new update includes a feature that makes GIFs load faster and you can now easily add new ones to your Recent tab by holding the GIF down.

 

Flexible Folders: Telegram is making it easier for users to manage chats. If you have created folders for some chats, you can add new ones to existing folders by tapping and holding the chat. It also works if you want to remove a chat from a folder.

 

Android users bonus: for Android users, Telegram unrolled a new feature that enables smooth animations when they send, edit or delete messages. Additionally, they got a new video player that remove control options and long captions when watching videos. This player also automatically loops videos that are shorter than 30 seconds.

 

Telegram improved the cache management interface, giving it a more user-friendly look. The company also added security features to protect users’ messages.
