New Telegram update lets you choose notifications sound and more updates

In a new update, chat platform Telegram now lets you choose a custom sound for notifications and several other features.

At the front of Telegram’s latest update is its allowing users to set any sound they prefer for notifications. To use this, simply tap a short audio file or voice message in chat and add them to your list of notification sounds.

Here is a short video of how to use this feature.

Also, the fact that it is free to use across platforms makes Telegram tones more awesome. However, the files or voice messages should not be more than 5 seconds long and less than 300 KB large.

In addition to the notifications sound update, there is also now the option to set your own mute durations. You no longer have to pick between the default 8 hours and two days duration.

Also, there is now an updated auto-delete menu that requires fewer navigation actions and more timer settings options to pick from. These are not everything that Telegram is bringing at the start of the new 2022 quarter. You can now reply to forwarded messages! How this works is that you can use forwarded messages as a preview when sending replies, and you can hide the sender’s name or media captions.

In its announcement section tagged ‘Bot Revolution,’ the platform now gives bot developers tools to create ‘infinitely flexible interfaces’ with the popular JavaScript language. This update also comes with a feature that lets you configure bots to carry out automated processes. Built-in push notifications, seamless login with Telegram, integrated payment solutions, and more will be possible with this bot update.

There are several other new features like an improved message translation on iOS, improved Picture-in-Picture on Android, and new animations/emojis.
