TECNO Introduces Camon 16 Series Featuring Pro And Premier Versions, See Specifications

TECNO has launched a new series under the Camon franchise which consists of Camon 16, Camon 16 Pro and Camon 16 Premier, see specifications here.

In an ad campaign that started on 1st September 2020, TECNO announced that customers that pre-order any device under the Camon 16 series will win prizes. The company is giving out selfie sticks, free TECNO TWS Hipods H2 (wireless Bluetooth earphones) and so on.

TECNO Camon 16 Premier is already available for sale in Kenya. The device has a 6.9-inch HDR10+ display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. It runs on MediaTek Helio G90T and has an 8GB RAM/128GB storage space combination.

TECNO Camon 16 Premier also has great camera specifications. A 64MP shooter leads its quad rear camera set up while an 8MP sensor and two 2MP shooters support it. Additionally, it has two selfie cameras; the lead shooter is a 48MP lens and an 8MP lens gives it ultrawide backup.

Also, it comes with a 33W fast charging capability which will juice up its 4,500mAh battery in no time. In fact, the company says that the charger will give the device a 70% charge in 30 minutes.

However, while TECNO also announced the Camon 16 and Camon 16 Pro on 4th September 2020, it didn’t reveal their specifications. The other two variants like the TECNO Camon 16 Premier will launch with quad cameras as well but we have no idea what the capabilities are.

But since the predecessors, TECNO Camon 15 series, come with 48MP lead cameras, we do not expect anything lesser than this. Also, the MediaTek Helio G90T will likely be common among the TECNO Camon 16 series as the company’s competitor, Infinix, just launched its Zero 8 with the same chipset.

To get more details about the other devices, we will have to wait until TECNO announces them publicly.
