Technology has undeniably helped us be better and do better.
From smartphones to smartwatches, cars and airplanes, television and the internet, Virtual Reality Technology and Artificial Intelligence, technology has indeed improved the quality of our lives immensely.
Mobility, Communication, and Recreation are only a few areas where technology has impacted us.
The insatiability of humans, however, will mean that more is never enough.
There are still areas technology can help us do better. Here are some technology innovations we think should have happened ten years ago:
Food Making Machine
The 2009 American computer-animated science fiction comedy film, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs comes to mind. Like in the animated film, we need a machine that can turn water into food. This would solve half of the world’s problems. Hunger is a problem in almost all parts of the world especially in Africa. Nigeria can definitely do with some high-tech food-maker that can feed all the hungry people around. Just a little bit of water, a little shaky-shaky and voila! Rice and chicken is here. Of course, we are not ready for the type of problems this could attract though. If you have seen the film, then you know.
Key Calling App
Keys are the hardest things to find and the easiest things to lose. Everyone would be grateful if there was an app that you could install on your phone that can help your keys beam and make sounds about its location. It will save a lot of people so much time. This invention is long-overdue.
Sigh! Being a student is not the most fun thing in the world and studying can be HARD! A machine that can help you read your study notes and help you assimilate it in a few hours will be every student’s dream. Just flip and study on my behalf, then put all the notes in my head while I sleep. Perfect.
This one is more science but if you can understand the struggle of adding weight upon drinking a glass of water, then you know this would be revolutionary. A pill that pretty much makes you eat without adding weight. This invention is two thousand and late already.
Everyone would love this. An app that pretty much gets you ready in time. This app would know when anything would happen and get you ready for it. Would it not be great to be mentally ready for everything that is to come? The app, using Artificial Intelligence tells you a week in advance based on your conversation with your significant other that they are about to break up with you, so you are mentally prepared. Also lets you know judging from an application you made that you will probably not be getting that admission or job. It can also let you know positive things like, your best friend is about to gift you a car for Christmas. Ruins surprises but it works.
