US retail chain Target has announced that it will be taking its partnership with Apple a step further. As part of the newly-revealed initiative, customers will now be able to shop a wider range of Apple products and services from the Minneapolis-based retail franchise.
Christina Hennington, executive vice president and chief growth officer at Target, commented on the move:
“Apple products are popular with Target’s guests, and this new, dedicated shopping experience offers enhanced service and expanded offerings, building on our strength as a go-to destination for electronics. This new model was created with Target’s guests in mind, and we’ll continue to learn and enhance the experience through future rollouts later this year.”

Initially, the collaboration will launch online. Eventually, 17 stores will offer this feature offline; and also more locations will be added in Autumn and later. Customers who visit those Target outlets will be able to experience an Apple store-in-store experience.
The areas scheduled to offer the enhanced Apple shopping experience so far this year include Monticello; San Jose; Oklahoma City; Allen; Hurst; Austin; Irving; San Antonio; Gainesville; Orlando; Clearwater; Miami; North Wales; Newark; Woburn; Nashua as well as Latham.
Target employees working at the locations with the dedicated Apple mini-stores will be trained by professionals from the Cupertino-based tech giant.
Additionally, customers who have a Target RedCard will get a 5% discount on Apple products.
