Musk made the remark on Twitter while responding to a tweet about the company’s supercharging capabilities.

Other EVs (Electric Vehicles) will finally be able to access Telsa’s huge supercharging network spread across the U.S, China, and other places.

Although EVs, not teslas will have to get a charging adaptor which might cost some money. The electric car company for instance in Europe uses the Combined Charging System which other EV manufacturers use for charging.

There’s a high chance that Tesla will open its supercharger network first to EVs in Europe because of the compatibility.

Tesla currently has close to 25,000 superchargers at some 2,700 stations globally according to Digital trends.

Opening its superchargers could be a new line of income from Power sales and adapters. Another income stream is the food business.

A diner in space?

Lol! No.

Three years ago Elon tweeted “Gonna put an old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in LA,”. on January 7, 2018.

These restaurants will likely be located at the supercharger stations, where Tesla and electric cars are charged before commuting. A single charge takes not less than 45 minutes using a fast charger.

45 minutes waiting time is right about the time to grab a meal, get coffee and use the restroom while waiting for a charging cycle. Interestingly, Tesla’s newest V3 chargers charge the model 3 and Model Y cars at 250W, at half the time of the older generation. Although some of the current superchargers have some form of food services, a restaurant gives that added amenities.

If Gas/petrol stations can have eateries and restaurants, why can’t Electric car charging stations have? Tesla’s Restaurant will be the first among other electric car charging stations.
