Six Natural Remedies For Dark Spots

Having dark spots on your skin, especially as a light-skinned person, can be very annoying. You know, that annoying spot that just stays in the middle of your forehead and just won’t go away no matter what. Imagine a soft smooth skin with spots on it. That doesn’t sound pleasant, right?

Here are some home remedies you can use to clear these spots.

1. Hydrogen Peroxide

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide with 1 teaspoon of milk in a container.
  • Then dip cotton wool in the mixture and apply to the dark spot.
  • Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Then you can rub your favourite serum and moisturiser into your skin.

2. Lemons

  • Cut a slice of lemon and gently apply on the affected area for 10 minutes in the morning and in the evening.
  • If you have sensitive skin, mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of water or rose water in a container.
  • Dip your cotton wool into the mixture and then apply it to the skin.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water and finish off with your favourite serum and moisturiser.

3. Turmeric

  • Mix 2 tablespoon rice water, 2 tablespoon flour, and 1 teaspoon turmeric in a container.
  • Rub the mixture onto the dark spots and leave on for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water and finish off with your favourite serum and moisturiser.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar

  • Mix an equal amount of apple cider vinegar and water in a bowl. Stir properly and apply on the dark spots.
  • You can also add a few drops of lemon juice to the vinegar.
  • Or mix 3 tablespoons of orange juice and ½ tablespoon of vinegar to have the same effect on the dark spots.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water and finish off with your favourite serum and moisturizer after 10 minutes.

5. Parsley

  • Mix a cup of chopped parsley, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1 tablespoon yoghurt in a container until it becomes a paste.
  • Apply the mask to face, neck and chest for 15 minutes, and then rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Finish off with your favourite serum and moisturiser. Repeat this twice a week to get the best result.

6. Aloe Vera Gel

  • Apply aloe vera juice or natural aloe vera gel directly to the dark spots for 30 minutes in the mornings and evenings.
  • Then, rinse off with lukewarm water and finish off with your favourite serum and moisturiser.

You should see results within 2-3 weeks. Until then, take proper care of your skin to reduce the risk of you getting more dark spots.
