Sia is probably the youngest, hottest celebrity grandmother right now. The “Chandelier” singer, 44, announced on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music radio show that she’s a grandmother after her adopted son, 19 welcomed two children.

This news is coming mere weeks after she announced she adopted two teenage boys.

“My youngest son just had two babies,” she shared on the show on Tuesday. “I’m just immediately horrified. No, I’m cool.”

She however is trying to “funkify” her grandmummy status by getting the babies to call her “Lovey”. “They call me Nana. I’m trying to get them to call me Lovey, like Kris [Jenner]. I’m like, ‘Call me Lovey.’”

Back in May, in an interview with SiriusXM’s, Sia revealed she adopted two teenage boys in 2019 because they were “aging out of the foster care system.” Both boys are now 19.

In her interview with Lowe, Sia further explained her decision to adopt them

“I’m a little bit jaded now after investigating the foster system as much as I have done in the last year,” she said. “It’s failing us. Not in my experience, in my sons’ experience. They’ve been in 18 different locations in their 18 years.”

The Australian singer also spoke about how they were both handling the Coronavirus induced lockdown, “They are both finding it pretty difficult, one more so than the other,” Sia said at the time. “But, they’re both doing things that are really good for them right now, that are really helpful. They’re really doing a lot of educational stuff that’s good for them.
