Mo Abudu, the CEO of EbonyLife Studios has reacted to the negative criticisms that trailed the release of her Netflix film, “Chief Daddy 2.”
Abudu shared via her Instagram page on Friday, January 14, 2022, to say the voices of critics have been heard.
“As the CEO of the EbonyLife Group, I am aware of the mixed reactions to the release of Chief Daddy 2 on the 1st of January on Netflix,” she wrote.
“While some people enjoyed the film, others did not. And so I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our Chief Daddy fans that felt some disappointment with the sequel.”
“So, when you express your disappointment with us, please know your voices are heard.”

Abudu however added a succinct rejoinder; she warned people to share their feedback respectfully else she’ll restrict access.
“Please share your feedback respectfully otherwise we will have to restrict entry to you on our pages. We really don’t want anyone to miss out on finding out about the exciting stories we have for you in the pipeline,” she added.
Chief Daddy 2”, the sequel to the 2018 Nigerian comedy dropped on Netflix on January 1, 2022 and was greeted with negative and even angry reactions.
Several critics also questioned the quality of films the Nollywood sanctions.
The story follows a billionaire industrialist who dies after serving as a benefactor to an extended family of relatives, household staff, and several mistresses.
The late Chief Beecroft’s will, however, creates chaos amongst his family.
