See Complete List Of Samsung Devices To Receive Android Updates For Three Years

Samsung has announced a list of its devices that will get three major Android version updates as opposed to the usual two that most smartphone companies offer.

 

This move will encourage more people to consider embracing Samsung devices because they are certain that it will support the Android OS for three more years after its purchase. Most of the devices are 2019 and 2020 products.

 

According to Android Authority, the Samsung devices that will get up to three years software updates fall under; Galaxy S Series, Galaxy Note Series, Galaxy A Series, Galaxy foldable devices, and Galaxy tablets.

 

For the Galaxy S Series, the article mentions the following:

 

— Samsung Galaxy S10 – Lite, Plus, e, 4G/5G.

— Samsung Galaxy S20 – 5G/4G, Plus 5G/4G, Ultra 5G/4G.

— All upcoming Samsung Galaxy S series.

For the Galaxy Note series, these are the devices that will get three years’ worth of Android updates:

 

— Samsung Galaxy Note10 – Lite, 5G/4G, Plus 5G/4G.

— Samsung Galaxy Note20 – 5G/4G, Ultra 5G/4G.

— All upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note series.

 

Samsung Galaxy A90 5G, A51 4G/5G, and A71 4G/5G will be getting Android updates for three years. Meanwhile, the next Galaxy A series will be eligible as well.

 

For foldable devices, Samsung will support three years’ updates for Galaxy Fold 5G/4G, Z Flip 5G/4G, and Z Fold 2 5G/4G. All upcoming devices under this suite will also be eligible.

 

The company’s line of tablets is not left out. Samsung says all future Galaxy Tab S series devices will get Android updates for three years. For existing products, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, S6 5G/4G, S7 5G/4G, and S7 Plus 4G/5G all have three years’ worth of Android updates.

 

Besides the hardware business, the software industry is another front on which phone makers aim to establish dominance. No doubt, this development will make Samsung devices even more valuable.
