Soon to come Samsung mid-range device, the Galaxy A52 5G, will receive monthly security updates. The A52 5G appears on Samsung’s security update page for its monthly update cycle per Galaxy Club.
Earlier rumours have suggested that the device will have high refresh rate screens and now a new leak suggests the main camera will offer optical image stabilization. This sounds like a lot of quality for a mid-range series.
This is news because Samsung typically schedules monthly updates to flagship and higher-end devices only. However, it’s not the first time a mid-range A-series device is being scheduled for monthly updates. The Galaxy A51 and A51 5G were on the quarterly update schedule in 2020.

Regular updates mean that the smartphone will have bugs and issues fixed in a timely manner. Samsung had also earlier committed to offering a minimum of four years of regular security updates for most of its Galaxy devices, including the A-series.
Samsung could change the A52 5G updates schedule to once a quarter. Then it could make them occasional toward the end of those four years it will be supporting it. This still means that the device will get a lot of support and be usable for a very long time.
Samsung has not officially announced the smartphone but we will find out a release date and confirm the specs soon.
